At the end of October 2004, the long-awaited New Bible Translation was presented in Rotterdam and Antwerp. Like other language areas, the Low Countries too now have an ecumenical church Bible. Rather than making other translations redundant, the New Bible Translation adds something not only to our understanding of the Bible, but also to the Dutch language.
