Nature development has been going on in the Netherlands for several decades now. It has become the second track of the country's environmental policy, running alongside the so-called ‘classical' conservation of nature. The author gives information about the object and reasons of nature development, takes us to the Oostvaardersplassen, talks about the role of large hoofed animals and the Stork Plan, but also tells about the most important points of criticism.
