The Passion of Creating. Christophe Coppens, Designer Artist

The fact that Christophe Coppens chose not to exhibit hats at a show, when hats are after all the hallmark of this Belgian designer, is significant. Although Coppens gained fame in Belgium with his hats, he is at home in many fields, as is evident from his recent range of men's accessories, his various exhibitions in Belgium and elsewhere and a range of decorative items he produced a couple of years ago, which among other things included a candle in the shape of a baby's face and a condomière (a box for holding condoms), all of which had nothing to do with his more usual line in hats.
