Dredging What Two Small Countries Are Really Big In

The Netherlands and Belgium are world leaders when it comes to dredging. In the worldwide dredging market the US, China and Japan account for half of the sales, but they are closed markets. In the other, “free” half of the dredging market, European companies account for 85 percent, with Belgian (among the largest, Jan De Nul and Deme) and Dutch companies (among the largest, Boskalis and Van Oord) taking up three quarters of that amount.
