Why So Cold

2. Ward C – no visitors in the early hours

again
I am associated
with destruction

it was a small gathering
though I had done great work
more of that anon

the sea is hollow
the water crashes in
what’s been dumped washes up here again

an old break plays up
the yelling in the other rooms

I must stay by the edge
to be able to produce gods

mother I can’t say
why I crawl why I constantly
crawl around foaming in what’s been damaged

(Dutch version below the photo)

Waarom zo koud

2. Paviljoen C — geen bezoek in de nauwe uren

opnieuw
ben ik in verband gebracht
met vernietiging

het was een kleine samenkomst
al had ik groots werk verricht
daarover later meer

de zee is hol en
het water slaat naar binnen
wat is gedumpt spoelt hier weer aan

een oude breuk speelt op
het schreeuwen in de andere kamers

ik moet bij de rand blijven
om goden te kunnen aanmaken

moeder ik kan niet zeggen
waarom ik kruip waarom ik constant
schuimend rondkruip in wat beschadigd is
