Bruegel Revisited. A Look at the Master in Anticipation of Bruegel Year 2019

Bruegel Year will start already in the autumn and winter of 2018/19, in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. For the first time ever, a large monographic review of the master’s paintings will go on show there, together with a wide selection of his drawings and graphics of his design. While the drawings (and graphics) have almost all been brought together before (Rotterdam and New York 2001), it has never been possible to bring together more than a handful of paintings from his hand, as part of a more broadly-based exhibition.
